MY SOUL TO TAKE – One Sheet and New Trailer
Wes Craven. No one can argue the relevance and importance the name Craven means to the horror genre. Starting in 1972 with his feature debut, The Last House On The Left, Craven has been one of the biggest names in horror, and now he’s back. Sure, Scream 4 is on it’s way but that’s not what we are talking about. Today, we are talking about My Soul To Take (formally known as 25/8), a new slasher flick written and direct by Craven. According to IMDb.com, “a serial killer returns to his hometown to stalk seven children who share the same birthday as the date he was allegedly put to rest.” I have been (loosely) following this film since it was announced, mainly because an early description was stated that My Soul To Take is like Stand By Me with knives and blood. Being that Stand By Me is one of my favorite films I couldn’t help but be curious.
MSTT has been completed for a while yet not much has been released. A few months back it was announced the film was going to be converted into 3D and then a released date shortly followed. And then the release date was moved. And moved again. Now a release date is (apparently) set for October 8. Below is the one sheet and a full trailer (with an interesting pick for music) that was released earlier today.
Take a peak at the one sheet and trailer, and if you want to chime in on this movie, head on over the the forum and share your thoughts. The conversation has already started! http://oshkoshhorror.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=328 -John
